Security

Be safe

  • Ensure that you have an updated anti-virus and spyware programme and perform regular system scans.
  • Ensure your computer software is up-to-date.
  • Choose a User ID and password that cannot be easily guessed and change these regularly.
  • Check for the padlock in the lower right of your browser window (it indicates a secure site). You can click on this padlock to verify the site 'owners'.
  • When you complete your application or account management tasks, log off and close the browser window.
  • Never provide your password over the Internet (by e-mail) or over the telephone.

Secure websites

  • When you visit a website (especially a transaction website) you should look for a padlock in the browser window.
  • The padlock indicates that you are in SSL (secure socket layer) mode, which means that every request or information that you send from the browser to our secure site is encrypted (scrambled and encoded).

Password safety

  • We ensure that your password is encrypted and that a combination of both alpha and numeric characters are used when setting up your password.
  • Passwords are case sensitive and should include a minimum of 8 characters
  • Try not to use any personal information in your password, e.g. your ID number, name or date of birth.

Shopping online

  • We ensure that all your personal, credit or debit card information is highly protected in the best interest of you, the customer, to protect you against fraudsters online.
  • Remember to keep your personal details updated with Nashua Mobile, by either updating on our website or by calling Customer Services on 0861 412 412.
